Hi Everyone

Well it is now Saturday and has been a while since I posted. I have been working very hard on trying to get my school projects done and sent in. Well, they are, the last one was sent in this morning and what a relief! Now I just have to wait for them to receive them and call for my semester exams. I can not wait till it is over and done with; it has been a long time coming! I know mom would be very proud of me.

I heard from Amy last week and she told me she and Jason were going to have a girl! The ultrasound shows everything looks good, nothing unusual. They are so excited and have just bought a crib. Jason was so excited that he already put it together just to see what it looked like. Of course, he also took it back down, their trailer just does not have the extra room right now and it will be quite a while before the baby is born. They need to get a mattress for the crib yet. The theme for the baby is going to be baby pooh. Diane is planning a baby shower for April 12th at the Davenport Fire House, it is going to be a coed shower. Jason wants to see what they get and it is not a surprise shower. Keep your date open.

I am going to get some cleaning done here today. It really needs it, I have put it off for a while so I can get my projects done. Thank you to everyone who has said a prayer for me, it really helped.

Joe called this morning, it is snowing in Atlanta and they are expecting 3" of SNOW there, yes that is right, I said snow. Check out his blog, he is trying something new with video blogging.

If any one is on MSN instant messenger, I am also signed up. joannboman@hotmail.com. Please add me to you IM list and give me a shout, I would love to hear from you. I am also on a video site called oovoo. http://www.oovoo.com/ Download it (there is a link to it from Joe's site) and invite me to join you in a video conference. It is a lot cheaper (free) than a phone call.

Looks like Sunday is going to be cold, high of 17. Snow showers are in the forecast for the weekend. It also looks like there will be snow coming up the coast during the week, will we have another nor'easter? Who knows, only time will tell.

Well, company is coming this weekend and they and John and Nan will be going to a baby shower. I hope they have a good time and enjoy. I hope they have a safe trip.

this photo is from an email I received the other day. I love it and wanted to share it with you.

Ron and Jenny, I can not wait to see you guys soon. Now that the projects are done, it is only the test standing in the way. Miss you and can not wait to see you.

Well, I am closing this post.

I will keep you all in my thoughts, prayers, and stay safe and healthy.

Is this really January?

This photo was taken by Joseph, what a great photographer he is.

Is this really January? The weather is getting warm. It has been in the high 30’s for the past few days and is suppose to be in the 40’s today. What is even better, it is suppose to be up near 60 over the next few days! Talk about a heat wave, just compared it to the low of –9 and the high in the teens we had last week.

The diet is going well, sort of. I have stayed with in my calorie allotment. I am going to go to the library and borrow the Scarsdale diet and just see what is involved with it. I have heard good things about it and want to see what is involved. I will see which diet will be easier to follow. I know my Dr. would prefer I do the calorie diet and eat healthy. Wish me good luck and please encourage me to continue with the diet. Thanks for the encouragement.

Today I am hoping to complete the Accounting project, please say a prayer I get it done. It has been a long frustrating project, and with the help of the school, I think I may have gotten a handle on it.

Joseph, thank you for the DVD recorder, it is working fantastically. Dad hooked it up for me and got it running. When I originally hooked it up, I could not get it to work, thank goodness for dad! I have already recorded a multitude of movies.

I fed the birds this morning and the gold finches are having a feast. All my usual birds are back too. A couple of squirrels were enjoying the seed on the outer feeder, but have since moved on, I am sure they will be back again.

Well, this is going to be a short post and I hope everyone enjoys the warm weather while we have it. Just think, spring begins on March 20th! That is only a little over 9 weeks away. I know I cannot wait!

Everyone take care and stay safe and healthy.

You all remain in my thoughts, heart and prayers. Love to all.

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year!

This is the beginning of a new year and hopefully a new outlook on our lives. This should be a year of changes for the better, new adventures, and renewing energy for the love of life. Life is too short to keep putting things off. This should be a year of forgiveness, seeking out new and old relationships, new and old friends, and just enjoying life to the fullest.

For me, it is a new beginning of finding myself. Helping me to learn to enjoy life to the fullest. I have changed my outlook on life and have promised myself to follow through on things I keep putting off. At 51 years old, I have always put myself on the back burner, and now it is time to do the things I always wanted to do. I am planning a few more vacations in Florida with my good friends Jenny and Ron, who are more like family. They make me feel so welcome and I had such a great time the last time I was there. I really miss them and Florida, and I look forward to returning there very soon, seeing new sites and possibly seeing Joe while I am down south. I also plan on working on losing the weight I put back on. This is important to me because I felt better with the weight off. If you can, please encourage me as often as possible to reach my goal and help me to stay on my diet plan. I really need everyone’s encouragement! If you knew how hard it is to lose weight by yourself, you would understand.

On Monday morning I woke up to 8 ¼” of snow on the ground and I had to drive to work. The roads were not the greatest, but I made it there in one piece. We are expecting more snow today, possibly heaviest in the early afternoon. When I woke up this morning we had 1” from today’s storm. It just started to snow about 5:30 or 6am. I took the first reading at 7:30 this morning and the snow is coming down steadily.

I see at the bird feeders, which I just filled, that we have cardinals, gold finches, woodpeckers, black caps and many others. There are a lot of gold finches at the thistle feeders, 7 of them right now.

Joseph also flew out of Philly on Monday for GA. He made it home safely and also went to work that night. I am so glad he made it back safely. It was so great so see him and to spend time with all the family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Well, the Christmas decorations came down Monday night and I will need to vacuum this morning, but at least all the decorations are put away and I can watch the birds at the bird feeder. It looks so different with the tree gone.

Today I will try to get one of my projects done. I am trying not to pull my hair out. If I had someone to help me with this project I would have had it done weeks ago, but I don’t so it is plugging on by myself with the help of accounting for dummies.

I did not stay up to watch the ball fall. As Diana, my girlfriend told me, the new year will come in whether we are up or not, which is very true. I did get a call from Sue at about 1203. She did not think she would be up at midnight, but she made it. Being up so early in the morning, there is no way I was going to stay up. I hope everyone that did stay up, had a great time and a safe drive home.

Again, I would like to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year! May it be a Healthy, Happy, and a very Safe one. May all your wishes and dreams in the New Year come true.

Love to all. As always, you all will remain in my thoughts, heart and prayers.
